Absolutely Waterproof LED Batten Luminaires Thanks to Multi-Stage Fully Encapsulated Process

In order to operate linear LED lighting concepts safely and trouble-free in wet rooms, damp areas, outdoors, and especially underwater, a minimum protection rating of IP67 must be guaranteed.

We achieve this absolute watertightness by fully encapsulating the LED aluminum profiles with synthetic resin (PUR - polyurethane). In a unique process, liquid two-component PUR is applied with extreme precision in six layers directly into the profile (for coloring 3-component PUR - e.g. opal). The multi-stage application of the heated synthetic resin prevents air bubbles, inclusions, and cracks.

The resin covers the LED flex strip, the connection cabling, and the entire interior of the profile and is flush with the top edge or the side edges. The linear LED light building element is now sealed and absolutely watertight. Further advantages are the protection of the LED chips and electronics as well as the reduction of mechanical stress on the aluminum profile.
